Skunkweed Seeds - Navarretia Squarrosa - Pollinator Friendly & Pest Deterring
Quantity: 100+ seeds
Skunkweed, aka Navarretia Squarrosa, is a rare annual member of the Phlox family, Polemoniaceae. It originates in North America, and is hardy to zone 7. Its leaves are quite sticky, and it gives off an aroma similar to Cannabis and skunks. The leaves are quite sharp, so help deter rabbits, squirrels, and rats when planted around a garden or near an entrance. The seeds, although small and hard to gather in quantity, are edible and delicious. they taste rich and nutty. They fill out a space nicely, and the flowers attract all sorts of pollinators, making this plant an excellent addition to the flower garden. Although the plant is an annual, it will readily self seed, so it's easy to have a continuous crop year after year.
All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

Growing Instructions
Skunkweed seeds are best directly sown on the surface to 1/8 inch deep in early spring, but can also be started in pots indoors 2-4 weeks before last frost. They like the soil to be moist, but need proper drainage as they don't like to sit in water. The plants don’t require very much attention once established other than a good mulching, and a bi-weekly watering.
