Shasta Daisy Seeds - Leucanthemum Superbum - Perennial & Pollinator Friendly

Quantity: 200 seeds

Shasta Daisy, aka Leucanthemum Superbum, is an Ornamental and edible plant from the Aster family, Asteraceae. It originates in Europe, and lives as a perennial down to zone 5. Pollinators are very attracted to the flowers, so it's a great plant to have around the garden to increase crop pollination. The flowers and buds are edible, and taste great in salads, as well as can be battered and fried. Shasta Daisies keep for a long time once cut, so are an excellent choice for flower arrangements and bouquets.

All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

  • Growing Instructions

Directly sow Shasta Daisy seeds in the earth as soon as the ground becomes workable in early spring to early summer. Sow seeds 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep. Under ideal growing conditions, plants can grow to be about two feet tall, and one foot wide. They thrive in full sun, but will also grow well in partial shade. they like loamy or sandy soils, and don't seem to be particular to PH, but does like the soil to be free draining of water. These plants are heat, deer, and pest resistant, and can provide one with an abundance of blooms for years to come.
