Royal Carpet Sweet Alyssum Seeds - Lobularia Maritima - Edible & Ornamental
Quantity: 200 Seeds
Sweet Alyssum is a member of the Brassica family, Brassicaceae. It originates in the Mediterranian, and lives as a perennial down to zone 6. The flowers are edible, rich in nutrition, and make an excellent addition to salads, fritters, and more. They're also irresistible to bees and other pollinators, so planting Alyssums anywhere near the garden is great for increasing fruit production. The plants are quite hardy, and the foliage will stay alive throughout the winter, and is one of the first plants to start growing again in early spring.
All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

Growing Instructions
Sweet Alyssum seeds are best sown directly in the earth come early spring, but can also be started in pots to get a head start too. Sow seeds on the surface to 1/8 inch deep, and keep moist until sprouts emerge. Once established, these plants will put out an abundance of beautiful resinous flowers until hard frost. The plants can live for many years, assuming you live in zone 6 or warmer. They don’t require much, other than water and mulch. Plants are disease, pest, and deer resistant.
