Lupine Mix Seeds - Lupinus Polyphyllus - Perennial & Pollinator Friendly
Quantity: 25 seeds
Lupin, aka Lupinus Polyphyllus, is a perennial member of the bean family, Fabaceae. It originates in Western North America, but has spread across the world due to its ornamental and land regeneration properties. The blooms come in many different colours, but there will only be one colour on a single plant. It attracts all sorts of pollinators, making it an excellent addition to any flower garden. Like any other legume, Lupines are excellent nitrogen fixers, so not only can they thrive in poor soil, but they will actually build the soil quality of wherever they are planted. Their roots also run very deep so are great to plant on steep slopes to prevent erosion. These hearty perennials will live for 3-5 years, and when they finally die, their root system will degrade, hence feeding and aerating the soil. Lupines look great in any established flower bed, but are also great to plant in an area where you are trying to build up for future purposes.
All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

Growing Instructions
Lupine seeds dislike root disturbance, so directly sow them 1/8 to 1/4 inches into the ground come early spring. They like the soil to be moist, but need proper drainage as they dont like to sit in water. The plants don’t require very much attention once established other than a good mulching, and a bi-weekly watering. Plants will easily self seed if they aren't deadheaded.
