Large Grey Stripe Sunflower Seeds - Helianthus Annuus - Large & Delicious

Quantity: 20 Seeds

Large Grey Stripe Sunflower, aka Mammoth Grey Stripe, is an excellent heirloom cultivar. This member of the Aster family originates in Western North America, and lives as an annual. Everyone knows about thewir edible seeds, however sunflower shoots, stems, and leaf petioles are also edible, and chouce. The bendable parts of the stem can be peeled and eaten fresh or cooked, and the young flower buds can be eaten similar to artichokes. Large Grey Stripe is the largest of all sunflowers, and therefore produces more edible parts than any other cultivar. The plants are low maintenance and will thrive with as little as decent soil, regular watering, and mulch. Sunflowers are ideal for beginner and advanced gardeners alike. If the buds are left to fully mature on the plant, they become huge flowers that attract a wide range of pollinating insects.

All seeds are organic and open pollinated.
