Jewel Mix Nasturtium Seeds - Tropaeolum Majus - Ornamental & Pollinator Friendly
Quantity: 20 seeds
Nasturtium, aka Tropaeolum Majus, is a perennial member of the Nasturtium family, Tropaeolaceae. It originates in South America, and lives as a perennial to zone 8. As well as being a beautiful ornamental, all aerial parts of the plant are edible. The leaves taste pungent like mustard or wasabi, and are commonly used in salads, soups, or as a garnish, whereas the underdeveloped seed pods make for an excellent caper replacement when pickled. The young stems also taste great in stir frys. Most Nasturtiums are vigorous climbers, but this variety grows more in a mound formation.
All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

Growing Instructions
Nasturtiums dislike root disturbance, so directly sow them 1/8 to 1/4 inches into the ground come early spring. They like the soil to be moist, but need proper drainage as they dont like to sit in water. The plants don’t require very much attention once established other than a good mulching, and a bi-weekly watering. Plants will easily self seed if they aren't deadheaded.
