Giant Noble Spinach Seeds - Spinacia Oleracea - Delicious & Vigorous

Quantity: 200 Seeds

Giant Noble Spinach, aka Spinacia Oleracea, is a tried and true heirloom vegetable. It’s a member of the Amaranth family, Amaranthaceae, and originates in Iran. It lives as an annual and can be grown in zone 2 or higher. Spinach is known to bolt in hot weather, and although this variety is no different, Giant Noble has superior heat tolerance compared to other cultivars. It's also the largest spinach of all as the leaves can grow to 2 feet long in ideal conditions, all while retaining its tender texture. The young leaves work well as an ingredient in salads, while the larger leaves are best used in soup, stir fry, or simply sautéed on their own.

All seeds are organic and open pollinated.

  • Growing Instructions

Once the danger of frost has passed, direct sow the seeds 1/8 inch bellow the soil surface, and keep moist until sprouts appear. The plants should sprout in early spring. Plants thrive with plenty of sun, but appreciate shade during the mid day when it is hottest. It likes loamy soils, and doesn’t seem to be particular to PH, but does like the soil to be free draining of water. These plants are disease and pest resistant, and can provide high quality food during the coolest parts of the season.
